We had a lovely stay at the Iroquois while touring colleges, will definitely book this hotel again. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. There was even a complimentary happy hour with wine and charcuterie board each evening at 5. For a NY hotel, rooms were very spacious and not a ton of outside noise seeing that it is close to many attractions. If you want insight on what to do and where to go, keep an eye out for staff member Ben who oversees breakfast service. Ben was an absolute delight! Thank you to the Iroquois for making our stay memorable.

This is just a GREAT place to stay. Staff is helpful, kind and awesome! Rooms are comfortable, shower has great pressure (and heated floor) and it’s in a great location (but a quiet location too). This is better than 5-star at a fraction of the cost. Staying here is like staying with family…that you like. Really comfortable bed (black-out shades), and nicely decorated. This is the place to stay!

Pros: Front desk staff is incredible - friendly, welcoming, always ready and willing to offer top notch service and hospitality with a kind smile. Lobby is intimate and cozy, beautifully decorated in a 60's art deco style that somehow feels authentic to the time and style and yet modern and sexy. Both lobby bars are attended by attentive and friendly staff. Each bar offers top notch decor, inventive drink menus and a good atmosphere. The hotel is kept nice and clean in all areas (entrance, lobby, bars, elevators, hallways and rooms). Cons: Since this was my first time staying at this hotel, I don't know if this was a one-time issue or a recurring one, but the humidity was disturbingly out of control on the 12th floor, where my room was located. When I walked off the elevator onto the 12th floor after checking in, I was immediately confused, because it felt like I was entering an indoor pool area - even down to the smell of chlorine and water. When I got into my room, it was humid and warm inside but I turned on the air con which worked well to quickly cool the room down. The biggest surprise was when I went to get into bed - the sheets and bedding were damp! I thought that I must be going crazy, so I tried to ignore the dampness and just go to sleep, but have you ever tried sleeping in damp sheets? It's not very comfortable. The next day, when I returned to my hotel room after being gone all day, I realized that my work papers I left in the room were damp as well, which helped confirm that I wasn't imagining things. All of my clothing that was left in the room felt cold and damp as well. Because I was only there for two nights, I didn't bother to ask housekeeping to come and change the bedding, I simply wrapped myself in bath towels and slept in the damp bed again before checking out early the next morning. I'm hoping that my damp room experience was just a one-off anomaly, because other than that, the hotel is very nice. But given my experience with the dampness in the room, I'm not sure that I would stay here again.
