We checked out this ...

We checked out this morning after a 4 night stay. We visit NYC every couple of years to catch some shows on Broadway. Though I personally find Times Square obnoxious, we do like to stay close to the theater district for convenience. Out of many hotels we’ve visited in the city, the Iroquois has been our favorite. The rooms (we had 3 for us and our adult children) were clean, comfortable, and spacious. I appreciated the large shower with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The beds and pillows were just right in firmness for me - not too soft, not too hard. The room also had a safe large enough for two laptops, two iPads, and a DSLR camera with lenses. The rooms have a daily service fee of $18 per person which includes breakfast. We found the breakfast selection impressive. Great croissants and pains du chocolate, fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, granola, and a choice of hot sandwiches. The bacon, eggs, and cheese sandwich was a delicious and hearty start to fuel the day. The location is perfect. Far enough from Times Square to feel quiet and safe, but close enough to walk to any theater. Just a few minutes to Bryant Park, Grand Central, and Rockefeller Center. The best part of our experience was Ben, who works at the bar during breakfast. What a perfect host to your guests! Ben truly has a gift for hospitality. He greeted us by name and with a smile each morning, and provided countless helpful tips about the city that made our vacation all the more memorable. He treated us like old, great friends. Thank you, Ben!! We can’t wait to return!!

Really a nice hotel. ...

Really a nice hotel. It's a hotel tucked away. It's quiet and very pretty inside. Wouldn't recommend for families with small children, as it's more for couples, professionals, or small families with teenagers. The lobby area is small but beautifully decorated. Breakfast is top notch along with the best part of the hotel: Ben. He was single handedly THE best thing about the Iroquois. He made our family so happy every morning. We will definitely stay there again. Rooms were clean, staff were professional, always had someone open the doors for us or retrieve a taxi. Felt pretty safe here.

This is a wonderfully ...

This is a wonderfully charming hotel with cozy rooms, a lovely breakfast, and the staff at the Iroquois are top notch! The hotel is centrally located, yet the rooms are quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was amazing- fresh pastries from Balthazar, a wide variety of beverages, and a kitchen menu that included everything from a breakfast sandwich to a delicious oatmeal. Ben and Carlos were the highlights of our stay. Ben welcomed us for breakfast and went above and beyond, offering recommendations in the area. Carlos took excellent care of us, helping us get settled in and assisting with our car service- we felt very well taken care of by these two staff members! I would definitely visit the Iroquois Hotel again.
