About the Artists
Brooklyn-based pianist Simone Dinnerstein is known for her "majestic originality of vision" (The Independent) and her "lean, knowing and unpretentious elegance" (The New Yorker). She first attracted attention in 2007 with her self-produced recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, which reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Classical Chart. The New York Times called her "a unique voice in the forest of Bach interpretation."
Arturo O’Farrill is a pianist, composer, educator and founder and Artistic Director of the nonprofit Afro Latin Jazz Alliance. He is a six-time Grammy Award winner and The Greene Space’s current Artist-in-Residence.
Hailed by The New York Times as "sophisticated and beguiling" and praised by the Los Angeles Times for their "astonishingly vital music-making," the award-winning, New York-based ensemble, REBEL Baroque (pronounced "Re-BEL") is one of North America's top-tier ensembles specializing in 17th- and 18th-century repertoire performed on period instruments.
