THIRD PAN AMERICAN DANCE FORUM IN NEW YORK Saturday March 23, 2019 10AM - 12PM, Reception 12 - 1 PM This is a call to the performing arts community, choreographers, dancers, researchers, promoters, followers, masters, legends, critics, producers and dance lovers to participate in the Third International Dance Forum to be held in New York on Saturday, 23rd March at the Centre for Social Innovation (601 West 26 Street, between 11th and 12th Avenue) Chelsea, Manhattan 10 AM - 12 Noon with a reception to follow 12 - 1 PM. The theme is BUILDING A STRONGER PAN AMERICAN DANCE COMMUNITY. Papers will be read in both Spanish and English. (Please inquire of pamar@pamar.org or janhanvik@pamar.org whether proposals for papers are still being accepted or not.) The objectives of the papers and the conference are to contribute to a discussion of real case histories that contribute to the development of dance exchange among South, Central, and North American university dance departments, dance companies, dance presenters, individual artists, administrators, and others involved in Pan American dance exchange. The Forum is an initiative of various Latin American judges participating in the annual Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition in New York. Proposals for papers to be presented, topics to be addressed, or panelists to make presentations should be sent in Spanish and/or English to fidnycontact@gmail.com with copies to Jan Hanvik janhanvik@pamar.org (NYC) and Patricia Aulestia aulestia04@gmail.com (Mexico City).
