Craft your Narrative: Lyrical with Patty (TAP-NY Dance Roulette) Looking for an outlet to release those bottled up emotions? Dedicate an evening to finding solace with your emotions through a lyrical workshop taught by superstar TAP-NY member, Patty Gea! Derived from classical ballet and jazz, lyrical is a contemporary style of dance that uses elongation and exaggeration to encourage storytelling through interpretive movement.  The class will begin with some stretches to loosen us up and then will follow with choreography. The purpose behind this class is to provide an opportunity to share your personal story and dig deep to find that emotional connection with the song’s lyrics. About Patty Gea Patty is an alumni from Rutgers University with a concentration in dance and has studied a variety of styles that range from lyrical, ballet, hip hop to Chinese folk dance. Most recently, Patty spent a year abroad in Spain where she studied flamenco and salsa.  Please dress comfortably and most importantly, come with an open mind! Absolutely no dance experience is required to participate.
