Frequently Asked Questions

  • I joined Gold Guest after I stayed at the hotel.  Will I be eligible for rewards points?
    No.  Points are not retroactive and will not be rewarded for prior stays.
  • Will I be under any financial obligation if I join Gold Guest?
    No.  Gold Guest does not cost anything to join and there are no hidden costs to the program.
  • My company has negotiated a corporate rate, can I sign up for Gold Guest?
    Absolutely!  Corporate accounts with negotiated rates are not eligible for further discounts, but we will enter your information in our database and you will be able to earn points each time you stay.  Simply continue to make your reservations as you have in the past, and we will note your participation in the Gold Guest program.
  • I frequently recommend people to stay with The Iroquois, can I earn points for their stays as well?
    The Iroquois appreciates you, our loyal guest, and thanks you for sending new guests to experience our hotel.  Unfortunately, the points are calculated by the amount on your guest folio upon checkout only.  If you are traveling with several other guests and will be paying for their stay, please inform the desk to route all charges to your room so the points can be credited.
  •  Will my points ever expire?
    Your profile will stay active in our system for three years.  Accounts that have no activity for one year will cease receiving email updates.  Your account can be reactivated upon rebooking.
  • Why do I receive a better discount online but not when I call?
    Special discounts are only available with online bookings but points are still computed at time of checkout.
  • When will I receive my first Gold Guest Points Statement?
    The first Gold Guest Statements will be mailed in September 2008 after which you will receive quarterly statements.
  • How do I redeem points?
    When you have earned enough points for a reward and would like to redeem, simply contact the Gold Guest Ambassador and we will respond with your options.
  • What if I decide to redeem points when I'm checking in? If you would like to redeem your points for an upgrade or complimentary stay, you must do so in advance at the time of reservation.  Just call the Gold Guest Ambassador.  All point redemptions must be processed by the Gold Guest Ambassador.
